Purpose
“Discovering the Buddha Within” is an experiential learning program in the Buddha Dharma,
created by Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. Drawing on
his lifetime of teaching experience, His Holiness has designed a three-year study and practice curriculum that presents the essence of the Buddha’s teachings in a clear, accessible, yet
comprehensive way. This program makes meditation approachable for beginners interested in
Buddhism worldwide while also serving as a gateway for the general public to deepen their
understanding and practice of the sacred Dharma.
Benefits
Practitioners will gradually experience relief from mental difficulties including stress, anxiety,
competitiveness, selfishness, depression, hopelessness, loneliness, and discouragement—arising from excessive external distractions. Their minds will become workable and easily directed
toward virtuous objectives. As the power of afflictive emotions and conceptual thoughts diminishes, insight into the true nature of reality will become increasingly clear. Practitioners will
gain a deeper understanding of the sacred Dharma’s framework and develop into genuine Buddhist practitioners who know how to progress on the spiritual path.
